Photos from the 2017 Manitou’s Revenge 54 Mile Ultramarathon

This was a race for the ages! It was the 5th running of one of the more rugged 50 mile trail ultramarathons in the US. It was a very dark day, with hot, humid and wet conditions. Not the ideal situation for photographs but the perfect conditions for an epic adventure.

"Kids Outside" Cascade Mountain Trip Report by Ben Nephew

“Gearing Up for the Long Haul” by Mike Siudy

The trail and atmospheric conditions this year at Manitou's Revenge were challenging to say the least, with hot, humid air, and slick rocks giving us runners an even greater challenge than usual. 2017 Thom B 52k & Cayuga Trails 50 by Scotie Jacobs

ou have to embrace the darkness to get to the light. There have been a lot of big changes in my life since my last race report, which was for Grindstone 100. I pretty much had a walk through Hell at Grindstone, as my marriage was coming to an end amongst other things. Trudging through pouring rain mostly alone for 30 hours or so gives a person way too much time to think....
