Photos from the Castle to River Runs

We celebrated the last day of March by heading over to Philipstown, NY for the last race of the 2018 New York Trail Series, the Castle to River Trail Races. Those who completed the other 2 races in the series were competing for points to elevate their overall standing toward prizes from Salomon while others were out for a workout on the trails.

Congratulations to MPF RNR athletes Jay Lemos and Kehr Davis for winning the series and trip to Squaw Valley for the Broken Arrow Sky Race! MPF RNR athlete Aaron Stredny placed first in the ½ marathon distance. Ian Golden came in with the sneak attack to take the overall win in the 50k distance with Ben Nephew placing 2nd by minutes. Scotie Jacobs had a tight race for 3rd to the line, but ended up with a hard fought 4th.

MPF coaching athletes used this as training run toward the upcoming Breakneck Point and Iron Mines races. Congratulations to everyone who toed the line and thank you to all of the volunteers. More photos and videos to come soon so keep an eye out.

The 2019 New York Trail Series Calendar is up and the first race of the 2019 New York Trail Series kicks off on April 11 with the Breakneck Point Trail Races, we hope to see you there!
