I’ve been an out of control energy ball my whole life. It felt inevitable that I would join the track lifestyle. After a childhood spent playing soccer, I struggled at first to fully embrace the running life. My love of trail running was solidified the day my good friend and ultra-runner, Zach Price took me along for a run. In retrospect, it was a slower pace but all I remember was the beauty and challenge of navigating through the woods, constantly forced to look at the ground and world around me.

My first ultra-marathon was the 50k North Face Endurance challenge D.C., I managed to place 2nd overall in the muddiest conditions I’ve ever run in. Since that day I’ve taken on the 50 mile-distance race three times and multiple ultra marathons.

I would like to think my fancy soccer footwork propels my technical trail running especially downhill. Bombing descents on extremely technical terrain is my specialty. I fall into such a captivating flow state, it feels like I'm transcending through the earth.

I hope to continue to grow as an athlete, encourage others to get outdoors and share great memories with the Mountain Peak Fitness team.
