Jennifer Brunet

Jennifer Brunet is a fitness enthusiast, an endurance athlete, group fitness instructor and personal trainer who shares her knowledge and experience with teens and adults at The Gym, Lifetime Athletics, Equinox, NYSC, CORE, and Westwood Health & Fitness.  Group fitness classes she instructs include:  Cycle, boxing, bootcamp, TRX, and full body conditioning.  She was the 2013 sponsored athlete for Athleta NJ and 2011 Bergen County Amateur Athlete of the Year.   In addition she has several years experience in endurance competitions.  Listed are some of her accolades 1st female in Virgil Crest 100 miler breaking the course record, 2nd female Laurel Highlands 77 miler, 1st female Running with the Devil 12 hour endurance race; 2010 - 1st female in the Stonewall Jackson Division (unsupported) in Masanutten 100, overall winner in Running with the Devil 12 hour race, 3rd female in the Grindstone 100 miler, and 2nd female Watchung 50K.  

Her regime includes, beginning her own training at 4am, then teaching early morning fitness classes before teaching high school, followed by teaching fitness classes to teens and adults in the evenings and on weekends.  She has volunteered to organize and teach various fitness fundraising events to raise money for charitable causes such as St. Jude's Children Hospital, Challenged Athlete's Foundation, autism, NSPCA, AIDS, and local charities.   Her fitness educational background includes certifications from International Fitness Professional Association, International Sports Conditioning Association, Mad Dogg Athletics, Schwinn, Thomas the Promise, signature classes at Lifetime Athletics, and CPR / AED Training from the American Red Cross.  In addition, Jennifer has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Teaching Secondary Education.  She teaches AP US Government and Politics and Honors US History.  She has two children.
