2017 MT Tammany 10 Update!

2012 Oil Creek 100 Mile Race Report
Back in August I noticed a few spots opened up for the Oil Creek 100. Since it was within driving distance, I decided to give the race a go. This was my 3rd 100 mile race, and training plan had been consistent throughout the summer. However, two weeks prior I raced a local 50k and caught a cold which turned into bronchitis. During my two week taper I knew how important rest was, especially now.
2012 Mountain Madness 50k Race Report
For those who are unfamiliar with ultra trail races, a 50k covers the distance of just over 31 miles. Now add in a forest full of roots, rocks, boulders, stumps, downed trees, streams and terrain which will bring you up and down a total of 13,650'. Mountain Madness 2012 is held in Ringwood, New Jersey.

The race director described this course as follows "An almost 40.0 mile run traversing one of the toughest sections of trails in the DWG area". This event is not for the faint of heart.
2012 Long Haul 100k Ultramarathon
I headed down to Florida on January 21st to run an 80 degree 100k and get a good dose of vitamin D, how could I refuse? I was familiar with the Long Haul as I placed 1st in last year’s 50 mile event.
