Last few Miles of the Inaugural 25k Iron Mines Trail Run

The 25k Iron Mines uses a very rugged trails, with lots of ups and downs on technical terrain. It takes place in Norvin Green State Forest of New Jersey and begins/ends at the New Weis Center for Education, Arts & Recreation.

Footage is from the last few miles of the 25k, capturing the lower lands and dense trails of the forest. It begins with Aaron Stredny just finishing the descent from Wyanokie High Point at around mile 12 or so. He took a wrong turn early on and had to hunt down 10 runners to regain the lead. Manny is running in 2nd hot on his heels as Aaron just past him. The video picks up from there. To check out Aaron's race report from the day click here.

Race results should be posted soon on Ultra Sign Up.

There is also a 50k trail run the same day and it is even more challenging, boosting over 9,000 feet of gain on the same terrain but ventures deeper into the heart of the forest. This is part of the Salomon New York Trail Series.
