MPF client Matt Murphy shares his story about his first marathon and it just happened to be the 2017 Cat's Tail Trail Marathon in the Catskill Mountains of New York!

What a day it was at the 3rd running of the Cat's Tail Trail Marathon! Here are photos that MPF's Joe & Elizabeth Azze took along the marathon route. 

MPF RNR athlete, Jason Friedman was looking for a replacement for the Vermont 50 because it sold out and he found everything that he expected to with the MOMA 50k...

This one scared me, literally and figuratively. Where do I start? I had hiked many of the trails, which includes several of the hardest trails in the Northeast, and the idea of linking them up into a massive loop seemed like the ultimate White Mountain test piece. It is that and then some.

Within this post Elizabeth writes a little about what she has been up to, along with this year's 54 mile Manitou’s Revenge and the UTMA 165k from the Gaspesie National Park in Canada.

The Vermont 50 & WEEK in ADVENTURE! It was a hot start to the fall season. Temps reached 80º + and the sun was strong. MPF athletes and the MPF RNR Team were all over the East Coast!

MPF Athlete Evan Fineman had registered for this race as a tune up, gear check, and leg check for his upcoming Vermont 50 MTB race in 2 weeks. The distance was the same but that’s where the similarities ended…

“I caught Clayton and closed in on and passed David and Aaron, as we descended to Ramsey aid station (11.3). About 50 feet prior to the aid station David surged ahead. I stopped for food. Aaron surged ahead not stopping at all. They gapped me immediately. All that hard-work for nothing! But the mountains in PA are cruel and unpredictable – they reward patience.”

Rich Heffron placed 2nd (11:04:16) & Scotie Jacobs placed 4th (12:19:11), Laura Rekkerth was 9th female at the Twisted Branch 100k Trail Run! Something was happening in Leadville Colorado. Joe's encounter with a trail superhero. Natalie Thompson wins RNR’s Lucifer’s Crossing 6.6 miler in 54:30! And much more, check it out!

There is nothing quite like the Whiteface Sky Racing weekend. Not only does it have the only vertical K in the Northeast on Saturday, the Sky Race on Sunday has another two VK’s! My goal for this year’s Sky Race was to run faster...

This run takes place in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado and has a total elevation change of over 84,000 feet, with 41,000+ feet of elevation gain!
